Cafe del Mar Sydney

Top restraunt in all departments. Our waiter Bijay gave us the 5 star treatment. Knowledgeable and with first hospitality, he served us the most beautiful of lamb and chicken dishes, not to mention the desserts. The manager was kind enough to serve us complimentary champagne. The restaurant is first class and would recommend anyone to try it out. Thanks to all who served us.

I would love to say Cafe del Mar is my favourite restaurant in Sydney. I highly recommend this restaurant to you guys must try in Sydney. Big thanks to the chefs. The food is amazing and eye-catching. The ceviche dishes are very fresh and I love the fruit sauce. Additionally, the lamb is very beautiful, fresh and delicious. My friend and I tried that we could taste the natural sweetness of the lamb. Also the service and drink are very good. Waiters and waitresses are very welcoming and friendly. Thank you, Cafe del Mar!

Somehow the delights and location of Cafe del Mar had escaped my attention during my 12 years in Sydney (despite living at Pyrmont for many years). Perhaps I dismissed everything at Darling Harbour as tourist traps. How wrong I was. On the city side of Darling Harbour, at the top level, we find Cafe del Mar. I was exceptionally surprised by the location, the service, the food. Overall - a very pleasant experience and one worth recommending.

Was treated here for a 3 course Mother’s Day lunch. Service was excellent, food was ok. Starter and main a little tasteless but overall I had a lovely experience and my husband and kid had a little dance afterwards on the deck as the DJ was playing. Great venue, just wasn’t mad about the food.

I recommend the bottomless lunch. The food is great. Although the portion sizes are not enough for the guys, it's definitely enough for the ladies. Bottomless drinks were great. There are a lot of good options to choose from. Service was fantastic. The staff were quick and helpful.

A friend had her birthday here last Saturday and the rest of the group were telling me how this used to be such a hot spot in Sydney 4-7 years ago! It was a lovely spot right on the harbour but have to say it was pretty dead for a Saturday. Service was pretty good and the food was incredible! They also have a large variety of alcohol as well as cocktails list. The tacos were the hit of the night. Absoluteeee bargain at 3 tacos for $16. Decent portions and tasty food. The octopus skewers were great however for $19 I would've expected more food than just 4 pieces of octopus on two skewers. Would love if it was a bowl of them for that price. It was so tasty we just ignored the portion size. I've given a low score to the atmosphere being a little too quiet but that might just be because Sydney nightlife has been on the low for a while now. I'll definitely be going back to visit for the food and drinks. Very chill and enjoyable place.

This is our first time dining at Cafe Del Mar. Unfortunately we were not impressed with the food. There is no wow factor or a great impression that will definitely make us want to come back. The service was excellent though.

The best thing at Cafe del Mar was the service. Perfect in every way, the waiters explained each and everything very nicely and suggested their most famous dishes. The views are amazing and so is the atmosphere. U won't be disappointed. Each and every dish was finely curated and the best was the The Golden Moon, a must try when you visit there. Don't forget to take some photos in the gallery, it has great views.

We celebrated a wedding anniversary at Cafe del Mar on Saturday night for 15 people and we had an amazing time! Wonderful food, view and venue… the staff are what makes this restaurant exceptional. Everyone from the wait staff to the DJ were awesome. Shout out to Emilio who truly went above and beyond for our group - he exemplifies the highest standard in customer service. April also took very good care of us. We had a marvellous time and we will be back!
